Bloomin' on the Bricks
Experience the beauty of springtime in downtown Natchitoches at Bloomin’ on the Bricks. The annual spring and garden festival will feature an exhibit area with nursery, flower and landscape vendors who display and sell items needed to transform your lawn and garden. Vendors will have assorted ferns, blooming bromeliads, sago palms, bedding plants, wrought iron décor, floating docks and lawn equipment. The festival includes an educational speakers’ series on various topics including landscaping, gardening, tree care and native plants. The daylong event also features musical entertainment, a children’s area with arts and crafts activities, food booths and a butterfly release. Children are also able to take spring pictures along the beautiful banks of Cane River Lake. On the same day, visit historic Front Street for “Art Along the Bricks” hosted by the Natchitoches Art Guild. Artists display, sell and demonstrate handmade fine arts and crafts including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, woodwork and drawings to name a few.
